I’m an animation writer and developer. For over thirty years I’ve written and developed animated series, TV movies and features for Netflix, Disney, The Jim Henson Company, Nick Jr., FOX and MGM, along with TV for ABC, CBS and NBC. I’ve won several Emmys®, including for writing The Halloween Tree.
I created the middle-grade book series Franken-Sci High (Simon & Schuster), I write fiction for audio, and I’ve taught scriptwriting at Hanna-Barbera and MGM.
These days I’m based in Dublin, developing new animated projects, mentoring emerging talent through the National Talent Academies Animation programme, and teaching improv to adults.
The Emmys are nice. What I enjoy most is the room where an idea gets better because smart, funny people are in it. That’s true whether it’s a writers’ room, a development meeting or a Tuesday-night improv class.
